Shared Parental Leave – hear the experts
A few weeks ago, Maternity Action brought together a group of experts and practitioners to talk about shared parental leave. We were particularly keen to hear what it meant for the health and wellbeing of mothers, babies and families, as well as the implications for gender equality.
We wanted to share the event with as many people as possible so we produced a short video of the highlights of the day.
You can hear from Kate Green MP, Shadow spokesperson for Equalities; Cathy Warwick, General Secretary of the Royal College of Midwives; Sarah Veale, Head of Equality and Employment Rights at the TUC; Professor Peter Moss from the Institute of Education and a host of others.
Share the video with your friends and network, on Facebook and Twitter. You can also read the seminar presentations online.
We have also rated the Government’s Shared Parental Leave announcement against our checklist for parents.
